Urban Solutions have recently taken on Darren Reddy MRICS MSCSI who is a Chartered Building Surveyor / PM with over 17 years’ experience to strengthen their PM team. Darren brings a breadth of knowledge from working with such companies as Cluttons in London, Faithful+Gould, Knight Frank, Fitzwilliam Real Estate and recently Oakmount, and with clients such as Ulster Bank, Kennedy Wilson, Davy's, RGRE, BT, Harcourt Life, Danone, National Irish Bank, Lexus Nexis and An Post.
His speciality is in Project Management and the supervision of large-scale development projects. He has worked on The Dean Hotel Galway, a 365 key hotel for Motel One on Middle Abbey Street, 200 no. residential development units over 3 sites, carving out 60,000 sq ft from the Arnotts complex to create the new Next store on Henry Street and the new build of 48 no. Apartments at The Pinnacle, Mount Merrion.
Darren recently acted as the Lead PM on the Clerys redevelopment project to extend the current buildings from 212,000 sq. ft. to c. 344,000 sq. ft. (gross internal area) with the development comprising of: 100,000 sq. ft. of new grade A office space across two buildings; 60,000 sq. ft. of prime retail; An 19,000 sq. ft. panoramic rooftop restaurant, bar and events venue; a number of new food & beverage units of varying size and a new 213-bedroom four-star hotel and refurbishment of 2 no. Listed buildings on Marlborough Street.
Darren's key strength is in managing the project team and he has excellent communication skills. This allows buy in from all stakeholders in the project to allow a successful project to be delivered on time, within budget and usually exceeding the clients’ expectations. Darren also has extensive experience in the Dilapidations realm acting on Landlord and Tenant side and has a reputation for being strong but fair in the Dilapidations settlement negotiations which normally results in an excellent exit for his clients.
